I’ll be reviewing the three best wifi radios that I found had very useful reviews on Amazon as well. I’m a total newbie at purchasing wifi radios so bear with me as I’m not very particular with the technical parts but I’m just looking at which radio would be worth trying. I’ve looked at three from Logitech. They’re from the Squeezebox series which users seem to like more than other wifi radios and I just checked out the details of what they said about the three that I’ve selected.

The first big difference I see when I survey these best wifi radios is that the remote control and the control panels have a lot to do with the pricing. The sound quality seems to be similar on all three so what you’re really buying is the added functionality for fifty or so dollars more.

The Logitech Squeezebox Touch is the most expensive from our best wifi radios list and it’s the most advanced in functionality. The pros of this unit are the remote works well and the control panel is a colored touch screen, the sound quality is the best compared to other radios in the same price range and it can play back high resolution sound with no loss of quality. It’s touted to be the best successor of the Squeezebox Classic which was offered at around the same price. The limitation of this product is that it doesn’t recognize Mac OS USB drives. It’s a limitation in the software which Logitech can maybe fix in the future. I think the hardware sounds promising and I won’t be exclusively using USB drives on it anyway.

The next product among the best wifi radios I’m considering is the Logitech Squeezebox Radio Music Player. It’s the cheapest among the three but it’s got a color LCD as well, yet no remote control. It also has battery capability. For half the price, I’m really tempted to get this one instead especially when I read about how the sound quality is just as good even if you turn the sound all the way up. A lot of small radios can’t do the music justice and this one certainly can. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that it’s a mono radio. I guess it’s just right for the kitchen. I wouldn’t use this as an alarm clock even if the alarm feature works fine.

The last one is the Logitech Squeezebox Duet Wi-Fi Internet Radio. It’s not my favorite among the three although the remote has LCD and it looks like it’s more convenient to use than the Radio Music Player. The remote may take too long to work than what I’m used to because of the LCD. Other reviews have talked about this and it’s probably not a software issue that can be fixed by updates. I’m sure the sound quality’s just as good as the others but I’m not feeling this one.

These three are so far the best wifi radios according to the reviews they’ve been getting.
